CIPFA Benchmarking

CIPFA Social Care Benchmarking Clubs

Meaningful comparative data is difficult to find in social care. CIPFA social care benchmarking clubs help authorities share data in a non-judgemental environment.

CIPFA's social care benchmarking clubs build on the methodology developed in our corporate services clubs expanded to collect and compare the large amounts of data required to provide meaningful comparisons.

Childrens Social Care

This year we are offering two new benchmarking clubs to complement the popular Children Looked After benchmarking club. Please use the links on the left to see more details.

  • Children Looked After Benchmarking Club
  • Adoption Benchmarking Club (NEW 2011)
  • Special Needs Education (Schools) Benchmarking Club (NEW 2011)

Adult Social Care

This year we have significantly restructured the benchmarking clubs to produce more focused benchmarking clubs and reports. While the analysis will still split out each key client group, the clubs focus only on the high cost and high importance areas and the prices have been lowered to support authorities in these difficult times. Please use the links on the left to see more details.

  • Residential & Nursing Care Benchmarking Club
  • Self-Directed Support Benchmarking Club (including Individual Budgets)
  • Early Intervention, New Approaches and Efficiencies Benchmarking Club
  • CIPFA PSS Ex1 Reports

Financial Assessments Benchmarking Club

The financial assessments function is unusual as it sits between finance and social care. This club is aimed at the managers of the function to provide the comparisons required to manage all aspects of the service. Please use the link on the left to see more details.
