CIPFA Benchmarking
Local Authority Budget Profile
Benchmark your 2011/12 budget spend across all services now.
We are pleased to be launching a brand new service to single tier authorities and county councils*, combining the data from our CIPFAstats collection hub with the effective reporting techniques of our Benchmarking team.
The CIPFA Local Authority Budgets Profile, which will be available in July, is based upon 2011/12 data provided from the CIPFA/CLG Revenue Account (RA) Budget Estimates return, due for release later this month via the CIPFA Finance and General Estimates Statistics.
Sign-up now and you will receive an interactive profiling tool that:
- Is based on data that has only just been made available for 2011/12, so that you are ahead of the game in identifying possible efficiencies.
- Provides an analysis across all the main services, allowing you to see instantly what you are spending and how this differs to others.
- Takes account of ring-fenced government grants that are allocated to specific services, so you can see the real net spend.
- Compares you to your class of authority or your own selected group of authorities, via our simple to use selection page.
- Allows you to print all outputs into a single report, based upon our renowned benchmarking model.
As an introductory offer for 2011-12, we are offering the profile at just £195 + VAT. Complete our membership form to sign up now.
Access our Data Map to view how the RA data is displayed in the report.
Still not convinced? Then e-mail us at benchmarking@cipfa.org.uk to receive a free individualised profile for your authority based upon 2010-11 as a taster of the service.
* This service is not currently available to District Councils; however, should demand be sufficient, we would be happy to roll-out the service more widely. Please register your interest at benchmarking@cipfa.org.uk.
